This 2002 study reported a reduced risk of cancer among persons diagnosed with schizophrenia. Since this time, more research has been done to address the potential association between schizophrenia and cancer, including a range of disparate results that encompass findings that support this conclusion, deny this conclusion, or fail to find an association.
