CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health is pleased to share a new resource—the National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP) State Fact Sheets. The interactive State Fact Sheets are available on CDC’s Smoking & Tobacco Use website.

Click on the interactive U.S. map to access informative fact sheets that illustrate the impact of CDC’s investment in tobacco prevention and control and the burden of tobacco use for each state and the District of Columbia.

Each fact sheet features a universal problem statement, state-specific burden data, current CDC tobacco control funding levels for the state, a section on the state public health response to tobacco use, information about the impact of the Tips From Former Smokers™ campaign in the state, and information describing how state tobacco prevention and control programs reduce healthcare costs.
