Do you want to strengthen partnerships and collaborations with mental health and substance use treatment systems and providers to address tobacco-related disparities?

Join us on April 12, 2:30-3:30 p.m. ET for the third session of our monthly “Tobacco Use Disorder Integration Office Hours” series to engage in peer-to-peer learning, share insights and strategies and gain access to individualized tools and resources.

This is a unique opportunity to learn from experts, as well as partners across the nation to enhance collaboration between public health and mental health and substance use treatment systems and providers.

The series will be led by subject matter experts, including:

  • Jim Pavlick, MA, CTTS, Program and Policy Analyst of the Behavioral Health & Wellness Program, University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus
  • Samara Tahmid, Project Manager, National Behavioral Health Network for Tobacco and Cancer Control

In our previous sessions, we discussed the following topics, and look forward to continuing the conversation:

  • Enhancing leadership buy-in on integrating tobacco cessation into MH/SUD programs.
  • Taking facilities tobacco-free and the impact of COVID-19.
  • Tobacco screening and counseling at the provider level.
  • Strategies for organizational culture change when integrating tobacco and MH/SUD.
  • Language around tobacco cessation in MH/SUD settings vs. in tobacco control programs.
