Tobacco use among individuals with co-occurring substance use challenges often goes unaddressed, despite the impact of tobacco on long-term health outcomes. While tobacco cessation and treatment have been typically siloed from conversations on recovery, co-treatment can address tobacco-related disparities among individuals with substance use challenges and significantly improve long-term recovery outcomes.

Join the National Behavioral Health Network for Tobacco and Cancer Control on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2-4 p.m. ET, for a masterclass workshop to explore strategies for addressing barriers to integrating tobacco cessation and treatment into substance use treatment services.

This masterclass workshop will provide an opportunity to engage in real-time discussion with National Council Mental Wellbeing Senior Advisor Aaron Williams, MA, and Project Manager Hope Rothenberg.

By joining this masterclass, participants will:

  • Increase their understanding of the importance of integrated treatment of co-occurring substance use challenges.
  • Gain strategies to integrate tobacco cessation into substance use treatment.
  • Discuss ways to support clients in long-term recovery.
